The new Barcelona Pass from Go City is an updated tourism pass that replaces the old Barcelona Pass. In some ways, this new sightseeing pass is similar to its former version but there are a few big changes. So is this new Barcelona pass worth the money? Keep reading my Barcelona Go City tourism pass review to see if you should buy this pass for your next trip.
Overview Of The Barcelona Pass from Go City
The new Go City Barcelona Pass is a sightseeing pass that theoretically gives you a discount on many of Barcelona’s popular tourist attractions.
The pass also includes attractions that may not interest you so it might not be a good deal for everyone.
This new Go City Barcelona Pass comes in two variations: All-Inclusive and Explorer. Both versions cover the same attractions but give you options about how you see the sights.
Let’s take a look at the details of each pass:
All-Inclusive Go City Barcelona Pass
The all-inclusive Go City Barcelona Pass is basically an all-you-can-eat option that lets you do as much as you want in 2, 3, 4, or 5 consecutive days.
- 2 Consecutive Days: €109
- 3 Consecutive Days: €135
- 4 Consecutive Days: €141
- 5 Consecutive Days: €149
Note: Go City sometimes has sales so check the Go City website to see if there is a discount.
It’s important to be realistic about how many attractions you can fit into a day because trying to cram four or five things into your daily itinerary might not jive with your travel style. I’ll do a more in-depth value analysis later in this article.
Explorer Go City Barcelona Pass
The Explorer version of the Go City Barcelona Pass gives you more flexibility as you get 30-days to visit 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 attractions.
- 2-Choice Pass: €59
- 3-Choice Pass: €79
- 4-Choice Pass: €99
- 5-Choice Pass: €114
- 6-Choice Pass: €123
- 7-Choice Pass: €129
Note: Go City sometimes has sales so check the Go City website to see if there is a discount.
The Explorer pass can be a good deal but. you have to be strategic on which attractions you choose. I’ll do a value analysis later in this article.

Is the All-Inclusive Go City Barcelona Pass A Good Value?
Let’s take an in-depth look at the All-Inclusive pass to see if this pass is worth the money and strategies to get the most value out of the pass.
In general, the All-Inclusive Pass is best for people who want to see a lot in a short amount of time.
First, we need to see calculate the daily cost of the pass to see how much you need to do each day to get your money’s worth:
- 2 Consecutive Days: €109 (€55/day)
- 3 Consecutive Days: €135(€45/day)
- 4 Consecutive Days: €141 (€35/day)
- 5 Consecutive Days: €149 (€30/day)
Strategies To Maximize Value
From here you need to see which attractions from the pass look interesting.
You’ll get the most value from these passes if you do “big-ticket” attractions like the Barcelona Bus Turístic (€30.00), Sagrada Familia tour (€49), Park Guell tour (€26), Picasso Museum tour (€33), Casa Batlló (€25.00), La Pedrera (€24.00), Best of Barcelona Bike Tour (€28.00), etc. because filling your day with 4-6 “small-ticket” attractions is exhausting and/or impossible.
Obviously, if most of these “big-ticket” attractions aren’t interesting then you should probably skip this pass.
Is The Explorer Go City Barcelona Pass A Good Value?
Calculating the value of the Explorer version of the Barcelona pass is much more straightforward — simply add up how much you’d spend with and without the pass. I do like how you get a 30-day window to visit the attractions so that adds some excellent flexibility.
In general, the Explorer Pass is best for people who want to take their time and travel at their own pace.
First, we need to see calculate the pass’s average cost per attraction to see which attractions will give you your money’s worth:
- 2-Choice Pass: €59 (Average of €29.50/attraction)
- 3-Choice Pass: €79 (Average of €26.50/attraction)
- 4-Choice Pass: €99 (Average of €24.75/attraction)
- 5-Choice Pass: €114 (Average of €22.50/attraction)
- 6-Choice Pass: €123 (Average of €20.50/attraction)
- 7-Choice Pass: €129 (Average of €18.50/attraction)
Obviously, this pass can be a really good deal if you do “big-ticket” attractions like the Sagrada Familia tour (€49), Park Guell tour (€26), Picasso Museum tour (€33), Barcelona Bus Turístic (€30.00), Casa Batlló (€25.00), La Pedrera (€24.00), Best of Barcelona Bike Tour (€28.00), etc.
If these big-ticket attractions don’t interest you then I’d recommend skipping this pass.
Is The Go City Barcelona Pass Worth The Money?
I would easily recommend the Barcelona Pass if you can nab the limited reservations for the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, and the Picasso Museum guided tours—but without those, it makes recommending the pass more difficult.
Furthermore, these passes let you skip the ticket line for most of the attractions so that might save you time and hassle—which can be a huge bonus during the summer.
Personally, I can see myself using the Barcelona Explorer Pass since there are a handful of attractions covered by the pass that I would visit anyway.
However, the All-Inclusive Pass isn’t attractive to me personally since I don’t like to pack my travel itinerary with tons of stuff (which is the only way to make the All-Inclusive Pass pass worth the money). But, if you’re up for seeing a lot, then you might want to consider this option.
You really need to study which attractions covered by the Barcelona Pass match up to what you want to do. It honestly comes down to your travel style.
Where to Buy The Go City Barcelona Pass
The Go City Barcelona Pass is a fully digital pass that can be purchased at the Go City Website. You simply download it to your phone and activate it once you want to use it—which is much more convenient than the old physical passes.
